A King who lay down His Own Life for Me
In a society where practically everything is made fun of, it is difficult to understand why someone would voluntarily give up his life for you in exchange for another chance at life. Although I am aware that many people may not give this much thought or even believe in it, for me personally, it has given me a great deal of hope and is something I will always be grateful for, especially during holy week. Who could I possibly have been for God to sacrifice his own son's life in order to save me? to merely save us? He didn't even have to do it; God didn't make him stay, but he still stayed, and he ascended the mountain in a straight line while carrying our sins on his back.
Since learning about this story, I have experienced an amazing sense of hope and joy that is unexplainable. Because of this, the holy week is to me about remembering both the tremendous things that Christ has done in my life since I put my faith in him as well as his death. The holy week was a time of unconditional commemoration for all that he has done for us and was marked by acts of love, mercy, and compassion.
Consequently, regardless of what you believe, I think there is something lovely about realizing that he was born into a world where the majority of people wouldn't even consider him important, merely to freely offer up his own life for them, otherwise.

New hope, new faith. Truly remarkable!
