Chapter 2 of 4: Exhausting

      

     If you were to ask me to choose one adjective to sum up this second quarter, I would use the term "challenging." Imagine being on a rollercoaster, moving up and down the tracks, but the entire system is broken, and you feel like you're about to be flung off the ride at any second. That is about how my life has been during the past few months. 

     I once believed that this quarter would be my best since I had to come close to everyone's expectations for me. To be honest, it was mostly kind of fun, but I won't deny that it was also quite exhausting. Given that 10th grade was my final year of junior high school, I remember promising to make the most of the year as it was my last. It turned out that I would have a difficult time keeping up and would have to fight to maintain the stability of my life. I had no idea that 2nd quarter would be that difficult. You could be thinking that, given how much schoolwork we already have, it would have been simple to leave my life in the SSC behind... but I'm not really that kind of person, though. I chose this path because I was ambitious and wanted a lot of experience, so I continued and stayed. This is just the beginning, and I am left to deal with these until the school year ends. 

     But now that 2nd quarter is over, I can say that I'm proud of myself. I put a lot of efforts this quarter and hoping that those will be all worth it. This quarter, I learned a lot from my experiences. One of them was to never think too highly of my own ability. I am capable, but not in every situation. I've struggled long enough to understand that not everything is meant for me, and not every chance that presents itself is a hint that I should pursue it. Even yet, despite the fact that this is not yet over, it was still a good thing that I tried. I need to continue and at least complete what I started because I chose to do this. Although I didn't give my decisions much thought, I don't really regret them. Even though it was difficult at times, I'll continue to attempt to do better and give it my all.
