Let's Do Better
COVID-19 has been hard on all if us, and getting used to a new of living does with its challenges. Greetings, my name is Yanichel but everyone calls me Yani. I am now a grade 10 Special Science Student from ISNHS, but before the pandemic I was just a grade 7 student. We all know the effects the pandemic had on the world economy as well as how people function in society.
March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic brought learning to a screeching halt worldwide, creating the most severe global education disruption in history. Without a doubt, the pandemic has caused difficulties for everyone, affecting their lifestyles, school and how they interact with others. I had a hard time taking online classes. I went through a lot of things that I hadn't gone through before the pandemic. I used to be genuinely contented and capable of finishing all my responsibilities in a half-hour, but when the pandemic hit, things changed. I learned a lot because of this pandemic. I learned how to manage my time, but not that much; I'm still trying. But since this new education started, I became more pressured and stressed. It was incredibly damaging to my personality and caused me to pass up wonderful opportunities. I had too much self-confidence to believe that I could complete the academic year on my own. I was doing well at first and finishing tasks and requirements on time, but as the lessons became more challenging, I found it difficult to keep up. Life is not the same as before. And I don't even know when the world would be the same again or ever? I have been suffering from depression and self-doubt for a few months, and painting really helped me get through of this. But over all, I managed my time or I should say, myself, to overcome all of my struggles and at the same time, my academic. We must see the pandemic as an opportunity to reflect on the ways in which we are all interconnected, how supporting each other can bring about great changes and how we can ensure works better for all us in the aftermath of the crisis.
This pandemic is about asking what do we all want for the future, and what lessons can we take with us for future crisis to better care for each other and to think about solidarity. I've gotten better at accepting the fact that sometimes bad things just happen. Atleast, I was able to handle this situation and I'm proud of myself. The difficulties I successfully overcame during the past two academic years were terrifying and felt insurmountable, but I managed to do it. I'll use these things to improve myself and become the best version of myself—maybe not right away, but definitely soon.

you're a brave girl
